Author: TJ Eller

Wondering how you can recover like a pro after a hard workout? Do what our MODe athletes do – have a recovery shake! These are great for quickly resupplying the body with important nutrients that help muscles heal faster and get you back to training sooner. They also taste great and are nearly infinitely customizable! Here is our latest favorite recipe – more to come!

Serving Size: 1 x 12-fl oz serving

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops Vanilla MODe Protein Powder
  • 12oz almond milk or water (you can also use rice water or coconut milk)
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 heaping tbsp nut butter (we used almond butter)
  • ½ tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp ground espresso coffee beans
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Optional: 1 banana

Directions:

  1. Simply combine all ingredients together in a shaker bottle and shake for 2-3 minutes or until powders are fully dissolved.
  2. For optional banana - add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Bananas don’t break up well in shaker bottles!
